अवसान के बाद पानी मांगा था बाबा महाराज ने

ब्रजद्वार (हाथरस)। शरीर होने के बाद बाबा महाराज की पत्नी के कानों में आवाज गूंजी कि पानी पिला दे बड़ी जलन हो रही है।

          बाबा महाराज के परम भक्त राधारमण त्रिपाठी बताते हैं कि उनको एक भक्त ने बताया कि बाबाजी की महा समाधि का समाचार पाकर मैं तो ग्यारह सितम्बर की रात को ही दादा, राजीदा आदि के साथ वृंदावन को रवाना हो गया था । परन्तु मेरी पत्नी रमा तीनों लड़कों को। खिला-पिला-सुलाकर आँगन में बेचैन टहलती ही रह गईं । न आँसू, न विषाद मन-मानस में केवल एक विचित्र-सा मौन एवं चारो तरफ शांति। तभी साढ़े ग्यारह बजे रात उन्होंने स्पष्ट रूप से महाराज जी की वाणी सुनी, “पानी पिला दे, बड़ी जलन हो रही है। " तभी ही उन्हें ज्ञात हो गया कि महाराज जी द्वारा त्यक्त पार्थिव शरीर को भस्मीभूत कर दिया गया है । हम तो यही सोचते थे कि अन्य संतों की तरह उनके शरीर को भी 

पद्मासन में ला भूमिगत कर समाधिस्त किया जायेगा । वाणी सुनकर शीघ्र ही उन्होंने पूजाघर में रखे महाराज जी के चित्र के आगे काँच के एक गिलास में जल भरकर रख दिया। तब से नित्य ही ऐसे ही जल भर महाराज जी के चित्र के आगे रखने का नियम बन गया । फिर भी पत्नी द्वारा उक्त तथ्य सुनकर भी मेरा शंकालु मन हृदय से इसे स्वीकार न कर सका क्या यह पत्नी के मानसिक उथल-पुथल का ही नतीजा था कि (कल्पना में ही) उन्होंने महाराज जी की उक्त वाणी सुनी ? मेरी शंका शायद प्रभु को रुची नहीं ।

        “मैं तो रोज पूरा गिलास भर कर जल रखती हूँ। और कल रात की तो मुझे पूरी याद है कि पहले कुछ गिर पड़ा था गिलास में तो वह जल फेंककर मैंने उसे फिर से भरकर रख दिया था।" कभी-कभी पत्नी थकान या अति निद्रा की झोंक में जल रखना भूल जाती थीं तो उसी रात ऐसा होता था कि ग्यारह बजे करीब निद्रा में उनका कंठ बुरी तरह सूख उठता और वे घबराहट के साथ उठ बैठतीं । तब उन्हें जो पहली बात याद आती वह होती 'कहीं महाराज जी के लिये जल रखना तो नहीं भूल गई और देखने पर यही सत्य निकलता । तब उनके लिये जल रखकर स्वयं भी जल पान कर वे सो जातीं । दूसरे दिन ऐसी घटना प्रभु-लीला की चर्चा का विषय बन जाती हमारे लिये।परन्तु इससे भी मुझ शंकालु को तृप्ति नहीं हो पाई । और एक दिन रात को मैंने प्रभु से  पूछ ही डाला, 'सरकार, जल ग्रहण करते भी हो या यों ही हो रहा है यह प्रपंच ?” बात आई गई हो गई । मैं भी भूल गया सब कुछ परन्तु महाप्रभु कैसे भूलते ?

         जो जल रात को रखा जाता था उसे मैं ही सुबह कुल्ला-मन्जन कर प्रणाम करने के बाद स्वयं ग्रहण कर लेता था। एक दिन सुबह उठकर, कुल्ला आदि कर प्रणाम करने पहुँचा तो देखा कि काँच के गिलास में जल एक तिहाई ही भरा है, यद्यपि ऊपर ढकी जर्मन सिल्वर की तश्तरी यथावत अपनी जगह स्थित है। कहीं इधर उधर जल भी गिरा नहीं है। प्रभु से अपनी कही बात तो मैं भूल गया और स्वभाववश पत्नी पर रोष दिखाते बोल पड़ा, "पूरा गिलास भरकर जल नहीं रखती हो महाराज के लिये ?" उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, “मैं तो रोज पूरा गिलास भर कर जल रखती हूँ। और कल रात की तो मुझे पूरी याद है कि पहले कुछ गिर पड़ा था गिलास में तो वह जल फेंककर मैंने उसे फिर से भरकर रख दिया था।" तब पुनः ख्याल आया कि कहीं लड़कों ने तो कुछ गड़बड़ नहीं की? आँगन पार कर उनके कमरे में पहुँच उन्हें जगाकर पूछा तो उन्होंने कहा, “हम तो रात आरती के बाद पूजाघर में जाते ही नहीं। पहले ही प्रणाम कर आते हैं ।” तब ? एकाएक महाराज जी से किये गये अपने प्रश्न की याद आ गई । अन्तर में रोमांच हो आया । मेरे प्रश्न, मेरी शंका का उत्तर दे दिया था महाप्रभु ने । उस दिन वह बचा जल, महाप्रभु का परम प्रसाद, सब में वितरण कर ही मैंने ग्रहण किया, परमानन्द की अनुभूति के साथ । सन्ध्या समय दादा को भी यह घटना सुनाई।

Baba Maharaj had asked for water after the expiration

 Brijdwara (Hathras).  After getting the body, a voice reverberated in the ears of Baba Maharaj's wife that she is getting very jealous if she gives water.

           Radharaman Tripathi, a great devotee of Baba Maharaj, tells that a devotee told him that after receiving the news of Babaji's Maha Samadhi, I had left for Vrindavan on the night of September 11 with Dada, Rajida etc.  But my wife Rama to the three boys.  After feeding and sleeping, she kept on walking restlessly in the courtyard.  No tears, no nostalgia, only a strange silence in the mind and peace all around.  Then at eleven o'clock in the night, he clearly heard the voice of Maharaj ji, "Pil me water, I am feeling very jealous.  It was only then that he came to know that the mortal remains had been burnt to ashes by Maharajji. We used to think that like other saints, his body would also be buried underground in Padmasana. Soon after hearing the voice, he visited the place of worship.  Placed a glass of water in front of Maharaj ji's picture kept in it. Since then it has become a rule to keep such water in front of Maharaj ji's picture every day. Still my skeptical mind and heart even after hearing the above facts by my wife.  Was it the result of the mental upheaval of the wife that (in imagination itself) she heard the said voice of Maharaj ji?

         “I keep water by filling a full glass every day.  And last night, I remember completely that something had fallen in the glass, so after throwing that water in the glass, I had filled it again." Sometimes the wife forgot to keep water in the throes of tiredness or excessive sleep, then the same night  It used to happen that around eleven o'clock in her sleep her throat would dry up badly and she would wake up with panic.Then the first thing she would have remembered would have been 'Have you forgotten to keep water for Maharaj ji and upon seeing this the truth emerges.  Then after keeping water for them, they would go to sleep after drinking water themselves. On the second day such an incident would have become a topic of discussion for us.  Have asked, 'Government, do you even take water or is this propaganda happening just like that?  The matter has come. I too have forgotten everything, but how can Mahaprabhu forget?

          The water which was kept at night, I myself used to take it in the morning after rinsing and doing my salutations.  One day, when he got up in the morning, rinsed, etc. and went to bow, he saw that the glass glass is only one third full of water, although the German silver saucer covered above is still in its place.  There is no water falling here and there.  I forgot what I had said to the Lord and naturally angry with my wife, I said, "Do you not keep water by filling a full glass for the Maharaja?"  He replied, "I keep a full glass full of water every day.  And last night, I remember completely that something had fallen in the glass, so after throwing that water in the glass, I filled it again." Then again the thought that the boys did something wrong? They crossed the courtyard to their room.  When I reached to wake him up and asked, he said, "We don't even go to the puja room after the night aarti. We do our salutations beforehand."  Then? Suddenly I remembered my question to Maharaj ji. There was excitement inside. My question, my doubt was answered by Mahaprabhu. That day the remaining water, Mahaprabhu's supreme prasad, was distributed among all.  I accepted, with a feeling of ecstasy, and narrated this incident to Dada in the evening.
